Dubai Food Park (DFP) is the region’s largest free zone dedicated to serving the rapidly growing food sector. Launched in 2017 at an investment of AED5.5 billion, the destination, once complete, will serve as a one-stop shop for a comprehensive range of food-related services including customs clearance, licensing, food safety and supervision, food processing, packaging and re-packaging, logistics, food export and re-export, as well as government services.
Strategically located within Dubai Wholesale City, Dubai Food Park will offer convenient access to Al Maktoum International Airport and Jebel Ali port, making it the perfect gateway to the Expo 2020 site. Spanning 48 million square feet, the development will feature retail spaces, a central wholesale market for the retail, hospitality and food service sector, a centre for integrated government services, and an organic waste recycling facility.
Set to host more than 2,500 businesses from across the globe with a 23,000-strong workforce, Dubai Food Park will provide an ideal environment to support the growth of food companies, reduce supply chain costs, and foster innovation. The destination is scheduled for completion in 2020 and is poised to consolidate Dubai’s status as the regional hub for the food sector that is currently valued at AED13 billion and projected to grow to AED23 billion in 2030.
